Sour Silk Cabaret mixes theatre, circus arts and live music to showcase international and home-grown talent.

Seeing Young Hoops, Hideyoshi Zaydistic, Kim Little, Madeleine Antoine, Autumn Daze and Jo Littlewood-Johnson hit the stage to grace us with their unique acts was mesmerising.

Madeleine opened the show with her mystic electric violin on the stage. Autumn Daze dazzled the stage with her burlesque routine. Young Hoops shows the audience how a hula hoop can be incorporated into a cabaret show. Jo Littlewood-Johnson brought her enchanting pole dancing routine to the stage.

While it did take a while for the audience to warm up to the MC, by the end of the event the audience was vibing the show.

The 60-minute show was not long enough.

It was lovely to watch a cabaret show that provided humour and class.

It is recommended to see the show. The mix of burlesque, live music and circus was a unique experience.
