Like Steven Bradbury himself, this FRINGE WORLD Festival show comes from behind to sweep you off your feet and rake in the applause.

"Bradbury The Musical" is a raucous, unexpected affair that takes on the iconic Aussie underdog story with humour and flair. There will be gasps, laughs and ‘what am I even watching?’ moments that make this a true FRINGE WORLD Festival show.

The story of Steven Bradbury, Australia’s first Winter Olympics Gold Medal winner, is a well-known and much-loved running joke, which is why you won’t be hearing that story. Rather, you should be mentally preparing for a fever dream of epic skating proportions that takes you from the emergency room all the way to the womb.

George Glass is the trio from Adelaide, S.A., behind this musical, yet mad masterpiece. The performers have a fantastic dynamic on stage, and they’re a joy to watch as they skate their way through characters and sharp quips. They take turns rotating between the drums, a guitar, and an electric piano throughout the performance, sharing the spotlight and vocals.

The songs are fresh and catchy with well-thought-out gags that touch on important topics such as psychology, society, IVF, and gender inequality. Set to a sick rock 'n' roll soundtrack, this electrifying performance not only delivers an engaging experience for seasoned Fringe Festival veterans but also beckons newcomers to take a thrilling lap around the ice skating rink of this unforgettable show.

Simply put, "Bradbury: The Musical" is weird, wacky, and wonderful and should be at the top of everyone’s watch list.
