The George Glass boys are weird, funny and educational. Who knew their was a high court case in Australia to fight for a tax free religion called Scientology? And along the way you learn about their wacky beliefs.

You would not expect to see the words Scientology and Musical in the same sentence, but that is just the beginning of what made this sold-out comedy sketch so messy and funny at once (a thing can be two things at the same time - inside joke).

The audience is first greeted with large posters of L. Ron Hubbard, the Prophet (or Profit) and Creator of Scientology, and of the megastars Tom Cruise and John Travolta, adherents to this "religion." The trio of comedians dressed in naval uniforms, and then many different costumes throughout, proceed to re-enact a trial at The High Court of Australia, defending the "church's" tax-exempt status.

In fact, it seems like the primary and maybe only mission of Scientology is MONEY and its tax-exempt status, and, how they get there and what they do day-in, day-out is not so different from other so-called religions, so why should they be singled out? Some of the funniest refrains were "What Scientology does best is sue people;" "It's so hard being right all the time;" and "What would L. Ron do?"

There is a fascination with Scientology's "Secret History of The Universe," which is housed in a large box on stage, and followers are told that they will see the contents of the box and know this incredible knowledge in a billion years. If they just follow all the steps to The Bridge to Total Freedom, plus pay lots of money along the way, then all will be right in their lives.

There were some things that you cannot unhear, like too much detail about bowel cancer screenings (another inside joke), but many things that you cannot help but howl with laughter at.

I walked out of the show thinking, "What just happened in there?!" Would highly recommend this show in the very cozy The Little Palais. George Glass has another show, Bradbury The Musical, starting after Scientology The Musical ends. These are expert comedians!
