Pussy, Lady Garden, Punani, Minge… Whatever you call your downstairs it’s here to be celebrated in Wet! The Hairy Godmothers are back in all their glory for another season of raucous laughs, thought-provoking poetry and a raunchy science lesson that will have you coming back for more.
Featuring a skit depicting a Pap smear appointment, and the likening of an IUD to a bottle opener to the reading of the side effects of common contraceptives Wet’s comedy isn’t subtle, but its hilarious nonetheless. The Hairy Godmothers had the crowd in stitches, clapping and cheering along as each performer took to the stage in the gorgeous surrounds of the Perth Town Hall.
Part feminist manifesto, part education and part body worship Wet is pure pleasure.
Performers managed to toe the line between funny and over the top. With a clever song about the history of the clitoris (spoiler alert: a bunch of men across history haven’t been able to find her), a poignant letter to mothers as a collective and a moving contemporary number about body image and beauty standards Wet really has something for every pussy owner (and pussy lover).
With an early show time, a little bit of nudity and so many laughs, Wet is the perfect pleasure-filled start to your FRINGE WORLD Festival night out!
