‘Rhys Nicholson - These Are My Jokes. No Refunds’ is Rhys Nicholson's and Century Entertainment Australia PTY LTD’s new production - a trial by stand-up, if you will - where Rhys takes the audience through different types of material and concepts to see what succeeds and how to tweak their routine for future versions of the performance - an exciting concept to those who enjoy seeing the energy and thought that goes into stand-up.

Between the amusing and somewhat concerning personal experiences, audience suggestions, and the ‘not using that one’ when things went a bit too far, Nicholson keeps the audience engaged and laughing throughout the entire production with their quick topic changes and facial expressions that shows the audience what really makes Rhys Nicholson tick when creating and exploring their comedic and incredible stand-up abilities.

One of the stand-out parts of this stand-up routine - in my own opinion - was Nicholson’s ability to keep the conversation with the audience going despite working on new material, almost like Nicholson naturally brings comfort to the stage when allowing their mind to explore different avenues and allows themselves to go with the flow while also knowing when to reel themselves in at the perfect moment, which is an incredible skill to have for any type of performance.

The overall opinion for this production is that this is one production that you definitely will not be asking for a refund for - which is perfect, considering the title - and this is a production that is definitely worth seeing just to experience and have a good laugh. I cannot wait to see what the final product is!
