While I expected a show about the joys and despairs of tech support, instead we were entertained by a lighthearted, educational presentation of actually useful tech tips. Apparently not the only one that clearly didn't read the show description properly, this is likely to be entertaining for everyone (even someone who's spent their life working on tech) and is an absolute must see for anyone who considers themselves a bit of a tech novice.
An excellent pair of Shash and Nick, one young and one not so young; one super tech savvy and one who reminisces of the time where we used pay phones and didn't need passwords. We all know that good tech support is hard to find, so having it come from people who can also entertain makes the experience differ from the last time we had to call {redacted telco name}, or trek to the store only to find them less than helpful of our situation.
Whether you're overwhelmed by the number of options when buying a new phone, or can't remember whether wireless internet is Bluetooth or WiFi, this interactive show will have you whizzing around on the internet and exploring clouds that have nothing to do with rain. Maybe you're worried about the privacy and security of your data, maybe you want to know how to remember where you left your phone/keys/car/child or maybe you want to not lose access to all your data when your phone breaks (no one actually wants to have to reply with "new phone, who dis"), this show is for all of us.
With an idea and approach that means even the technical issues involved with running a new show seem intentional (or at the very least relatable), this dynamic duo have a winner that is sure to keep people coming back. The ability to make an audience laugh as well as give them the confidence to ask "Hey Siri, what's the weather forecast tomorrow" without picking up their phone is a modern day Fringe delight.
