Where Laughter Meets Macabre: Ditch the dusty textbooks and dreary documentaries, Perth’s underbelly really comes alive with: “True Crime Walking Tour - A Comedians Guide to Perth's Dark Past,” where comedian Shayne Hunter takes you on a laugh-a-minute stroll through Perth’s scandalous history served with a twist of dark humour to boot.

Forget stuffy classrooms and the tedium of a high school history lessons, this performance is set amongst the streetlights, with Shayne weaving morbid tapestries of forgotten scandals, salacious affairs, and cold-blooded murders. From (allegedly) corrupt cops to hilariously botched gold heists, he exposes the skeletons hidden beneath iconic landmarks, all with razor-sharp wit used to dissect the truth and highlight the absurdity of it all.

This might be a one-man show, but it's certainly no passive presentation. Shayne draws the audience into the performance, creating a shared experience that's as hilarious as it is informative. You'll find yourself swapping gasps and witty repartee with fellow sleuths, bonding over the absurdity of humanity's dark deeds. Whether you're dragging your mum along, sharing a spooky date night, or simply seeking a unique social adventure, this tour delivers on all fronts.

As the title suggests, you’ll be taken on a journey for this one. The tour itself felt perfectly paced for most fitness levels and abilities, and our guide was always mindful of the group in transit. Like a seasoned pro, Shayne navigated the streets, sidewalks, cyclists and hecklers with humour and ease and the venue being a public space injected an extra layer of thrilling unpredictability to the evening.

More than just comedy with legs, “True Crime Walking Tour” is a thought-provoking experience that challenges your perception of Perth and delves into the darker side of human nature. It’s a comedy show, a history lesson, and a unique adventure that you won’t soon forget.

So if you’re after a laugh and a lesson, it’s time to embrace the Perth air and prepare for a hilarious journey through the city's hidden tawdry history that you probably never knew was lurking just beneath its polished surface...
