An incredible night filled with song!

The audience waited outside, lining up at the State Theatre Centre, discussing what they were about to witness.

The audience couldn’t hold back their excitement as they noticed the line began to move and in seconds, they were all sitting within the Courtyard waiting in anticipation for the performance to begin.

As everyone settled into their seats, the band began to walk onto the stage - Steve Searle (Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Flute, Clarinet), Tony Celiberti (Keys), Manoli Vouyoucalos (Double Bass), Francisco Munoz (Drums), Asia Bisi (Backing Vocals) and Alessandra Nigro (Backing Vocals) – and everyone buzzed with anticipation.

Antoniette D’Elia (Vocalist) appeared at the back of the venue, riding towards the stage on a bicycle with flowers placed in the front basket and she laughed as she welcomed the audience into the space. From then on, the audience was hooked.

What followed was an incredible night of humour, audience interaction, and incredible musical talent from the singers and the band.

Each member was fully focused and enjoyed their art, and the energy was just perfect.

One of the highlights I will mention in this review is the audience engagement as each time Antoniette introduced a new song, she brought the audience into every word she said – and even had the audience standing up and dancing as either a couple or by themselves for a small section of the event.

The incredible talent that was on-stage was just that – incredible. The songs chosen for the night were brilliant and you could tell that everyone in the audience was enjoying the atmosphere and the stories that they were telling, and that is what people go to see theatre and performances for!

A brilliant production and I cannot wait to see more!
