Totally out of this world, A Space Oddi-tease serves up your sexiest and silliest space fantasies with a side of compelling comedy. Extremely well-executed, there wasn’t an alien probe out of place in this wild show.
Space cowgirls, amazing choreography, some talented singing and excellent jokes; what more could you ask for? Featuring pop culture icons such as Doctor Who, Mike Wazowski, and an unexpected High School Musical reprise, this shows keeps you guessing right until Viva las Venus. There’s also a spirited debate about the planetary status of Pluto which might just be the funniest musical number you’ve ever seen.
The hosts were very witty and bounced off each other so well. Their humour was always on point, and they had the crowd howling. They even made me get emotionally attached to their comic relief! I loved their commitment to the storyline of burlesque managers lost in space. Weirdly wholesome, this show is somehow, at it’s heart, a story about friendship, as well as super sexy dominatrix aliens.
The pair acts were a welcome interlude to the solos, with the charisma and connection of the alien probe act oozing from the performers like some weird cosmic goo. The space cowgirls were excellent performers too, though I wish I could have witnessed a little more of their rivalry and seduction, and I did expect to hear some Bowie, but sadly that was not one of the pop culture pit-stops on the way to Venus. Space could always be gayer, folks, but I’m sure Ziggy Stardust watched on with the spiders from Mars in great approval.
Wild and funny, sexy and cool, you’ll want to visit the final frontier with this talented cast. Don’t worry, earthlings, they come in peace – they also come in bedazzled space suits and the most glamorous lingerie in the galaxy!
