Great vibes! If you’re looking for some Hot Stuff, and like a boogie, check out Studio 54 - One Night Only!

Lead vocalist Claire Fahie and her band gloriously celebrated the disco music of the late 70s to a sell-out show. It included disco classics: Le Freak, Hot stuff, Disco Inferno, One night only, September, Staying Alive, That’s the Way (I Like It) and I’m Coming Out. The club was throbbing and climaxed with the floor getting mobbed by Dancing Queen and YMCA. A fun and inclusive night with all ages joining in. Think movies like Boogie Nights, Xanadu, 54, Can't Stop the Music, Roller Boogie, Saturday Night Fever, Studio 54, and Gloria Bell, and that’s how it felt to be there. Maybe it was the magic of the mirror ball, I had forgotten how much I love disco music, how happy it makes me feel, and how it always makes me want to boogie. Bring back disco!

Claire dazzled on stage in a sequined jumpsuit and knocked out a great range of acoustics. The band had great banter and the backup singers Jordan and Zoe choreographed in with Claire, both getting the opportunity to showcase their own talent. It really was a good fun vibe. What would take it to the next dimension for me visually would be to see the musicians dress to a theme, as the vocalists had, so they looked more cohesive as a band. Something that would add depth to me would be if the songs were broken up with occasional snippets of behind-the-scenes at Studio 54 in its heyday, with the celebs that frequented it making it more immersive and memorable than simply a great band playing catchy danceable disco hits.

The club oozed joy and I left feeling upbeat and full of love with a big smile on my face after being immersed in a cocoon of fun and sparkles.
