Ginava’s Messy Friends is a delectable buffet of drag and burlesque interspersed with video footage of revealing artist interviews. In addition to Ginava’s opening and closing statements, each artist's act is preceded by an interview segment. Connecting the artist with their performance in such an authentic way breathes further dimension into an already brilliant concept.

There are too many highlights to list. The show must be seen to be appreciated fully.

The finale features the entire cast resplendent in sparkling colour, united in their uniqueness; weird and beautiful and subversively creative. Ginava’s goodbye message expresses the core of the show as being a love letter to Perth artists. If only all love letters were as memorable as this one. Ginava’s Messy Friends is an unforgettable conceptual playground. Get in it.
