An unforgettable journey of magic and mind games. Give in to Matt Tarant’s illusory mentalism and be confused, enlightened and shocked in ways you could never imagine.

Magician, mentalist, performer, story-teller. As one of Fringe’s mainstay performers, you know that any Matt Tarant show is going to be an unforgettable experience that will leave you wracking your brain for some explanation of what your eyes have just seen.

As the name suggests, Matt shares his experiences with fate and the inexplicable ways that people can and do connect with one another, all done by performing utterly logic-defying tricks of crowd work, and perhaps control. Matt takes the stale card tricks such as ‘is this your card?’ to unimaginable heights of mysticism that will truly leave you wondering if the man can actually read your mind.

Whether or not you’re one of the many in the crowd fated to become entangled in one of his fascinating feats, you’ll still become completely enthralled in this wonderfully participatory and cozy spectacle. As the breath-taking seconds melt on toward the hour, the experience feels less like a one-man show and more like the best group science experiment you’ve ever done; except no one tells you the answer at the end!

Matt’s innocuous story-telling is both heart-warming and disarming.

Watching one of his shows is like being drawn down the simplest of garden paths and being shown wonders you couldn’t even fathom existed. You may never look at another magic trick the same again after being drawn into Matt’s stellar orbit!

Suspend any illusions that you yourself might be able to figure out how he pulls off one fast-one after the other, and simply let yourself be entertained, surprised and ultimately floored by this genius. A truly unique blend of classic magic, head-turning mentalism and feel-good story-telling.
