Two and a half hours of happiness: but it flies by in a brilliant, colourful flash. The 60 Four is a show you’ll be sorry you missed if you do.
With sold-out runs in its Perth debut, it’s clear from the beginning of this joyful, musical show what the attention is all about.
The four singers do more than just a Jersey Boys-style act: the music they perform spans the hits of the 60s, from “Mrs. Robinson” to “Under the Boardwalk.” Plus, each performer does not miss a beat, and their voices are brilliant both individually and in four-part harmony.
The music is arranged in exciting and interesting ways, and the energy from everyone - including the audience - was unparalleled.
The choreography on stage was cute, polished, and fun. By the second set, half of the audience were on their feet - bopping, sliding, and doing the twist. Seeing a whole group of people who clearly grew up with this kind of music tapping their feet, singing, and dancing is a really joyful thing in itself.
This show is perfect for taking older family or friends to, but even for the Gen Zers - you’ll know and love many of these songs, and probably won’t be able to stop yourself from tapping your feet, and beaming as this barbershop-style four perform hit after hit.
The 60 Four is the kind of show you take with you when it’s over - as demonstrated by all the oldies you’ll probably see singing in the car park as you make your way home. If you want to experience a night of unbridled joy after what has been a difficult year for the arts and entertainment - go and grab tickets to this show while there are still some left. Just be prepared for these four guys to steal your heart.
