Be transported back in time to the 19th century, with a tale of hope and hardship. Cash Out of Hand: A Convicts Tale follows the life of Irish convict and notorious bushranger Martin Cash.

With a beautiful combination of enthralling storytelling intertwined with spellbinding music, this is a show that I’d recommend to everyone. It’s the perfect event for family entertainment, enjoying with friends, or even the start of a very fun and potentially wild evening.

The Hár showed off their talents playing traditional Irish music with multiple instruments including fiddles, flutes, whistles, and a bodhran. While the narration of Ciaran O'Sullivan took us on a journey through Cash’s crimes, trials and daring escapes with a captivating performance that had the audience hanging on every word.

From morose or suspenseful tunes that gave me chills despite the warm 40 degrees that was outside, to excitedly energetic jigs that had everyone toe tapping or bopping along in their seats. The music really heightened the emotions of this roller-coaster tale. Not even a guitar string snapping mid song could curb the brilliance of this performance.

A wonderful atmosphere, enchanting storytelling, and Guinness on tap, Cash Out of Hand: A Convicts Tale provides Perth’s ultimate Irish experience.
