The Briefs team are back with Club Briefs, a fun, flirty and flamboyant Fringe Festival favourite. Club Briefs is the variety hour as it should be with each diverse talent as jaw dropping and entertaining as the next.
A tongue in cheek show that never takes itself too seriously, Club Briefs showcases the artistic merit of club entertainment through charming performers that were born to be on stage. You won’t be able to take your eyes off these artists who make it all look so easy. With burlesque, circus, drag, a healthy sprinkling of disco and a very entertaining lollipop themed piece that must be seen to be believed, Briefs have proven once again why they are a staple of Fringe, with at least half the audience having been to a show of theirs before.
If you’ve never experienced a Briefs show, think Drag Race but add heart and classic Aussie humour, and subtract some serious ethical missteps. So basically RuPaul’s Australian pinga popping cousin (depending on your personal ethics I suppose). The perfect start to a night out or a super fun evening all on its own, Club Briefs is the very shiny distraction we all need in these unpredictable times.
A personal highlight every Fringe Festival, Briefs have truly earned their place in FRINGE WORLDS’s exclusive 10 Year Club, as one of the only acts to have presented at Fringe every year since its inception. Take your friends, take your partner, take your mum – there’s something in this show for everyone (as long as they’re happy to see a very nice real human penis).
An incredible show from the ever entertaining, ever evolving, iconic collective that is Briefs. Honestly, just stop reading this review and buy a ticket. You won’t regret it and you’ll probably become a fan for life.
