This fabulous high energy sold-out show thoroughly entertained the crowd with their brand of toe-tapping soul music.

Right from the very first beat, the band’s infectious delight in their music lifted the energy in the Spiegeltent and engaged the audience.

A nine-piece band can make a big sound and that they did, filling all corners of the venue with wonderful music from the 1960’s.

Showcasing individual musicians and their instruments throughout the performance, the show was truly a ‘super soul dance party’! Kallan Phillips, vocals and lead guitar, delighted all with his Chuck Berry number and Robert Bresland on trumpet, part of the three wise men horn section, stretched his cheeks to their limit!

Infused with booty shaking energy, many in the audience couldn’t bear to stand still and joined in the fun, shaking their groove on the dance floor.

While I understand the vocals are an instrument and part of the band, my preference is to be able hear the vocals clearly over the music. When I could hear the singer, it was a delight to listen to the fabulous tones of the lead singer, Lee Morunga. She has a truly amazing voice.
