What would you do if you woke up one morning missing an appendage of the genital persuasion? You'd put on a camp drag show of course! Justin Sider is D*ckless is an hourlong stage show featuring the vocal stylings of one, Justin Sider. A gifted storyteller, comedian, and vocal artist; Justin Sider is a showman in every sense of the word.

The show's genesis begins in Justin's bedroom where he awakes the morning of the "International Lap-Dance Championship" missing his penis; something he attributes to beating the competition, Archie Demesis―also played by Justin. Follow Justin on his scrupulous journey of discovering manhood through song and dance much like his silver screen icons, Troy Bolton and Magic Mike. This show is such a joyous love letter to trans men and transmasculine people alike, that gender is not bound to the identity assigned to you at birth.

Justin has stage presence that infatuated the audience the moment the stage light hit him and the maturity of a drag professional that commanded the crowd engagement at precisely the right times. He was able to freshen up the formula of d*ck jokes and surpass the usual crassness with a comedic timing that was nothing short of impressive. What was even more arresting was the enchanting vocals and captivating lyricism that, as a fan of local drag for many years, I had no idea Justin was capable of!

What really stuck with me after this show was the realisation that Justin performed this show―bar the audience volunteer for a minor non-speaking role―entirely by himself. This is the kind of genius that makes drag legends in Perth and Justin has truly solidified himself as one of the main acts of the city.

If you haven't been fortunate enough to see Justin Sider live in show, be sure to catch this local legend in his humble beginnings of FRINGE WORLD Festival before the world falls in love him in the way the Perth queer community has!
