Barbie Q brings another incredible production to the FRINGE WORLD stage.
Perth Drag Performers Barbie Q, Fay Rocious, Veronica Jean Jones, Alexas Armstrong, and Ruby Jewelz take over the Connections stage and leave the audience begging for more as they explore songs which really bring you back to the Good Times.
Drag Diva Spectacular: Good Times takes you on a journey of different performers and performances designed to keep the audience entertained and moving in their seats. Each performer embodies their performances perfectly and the energy in the room continued throughout the night.
From the first performance and as soon as the stage was filled with twirling performers and laughter, Drag Diva kept escalating higher and higher, bringing the audience into the experience with incredible costumes and dramatic choreography.
I would be wrong to not mention the group numbers, so I will. Each group number was perfectly choreographed, and you could easily tell that each performer knew what the next step was and really enjoyed performing with one another – which I personally believe is something that is needed when creating a group act.
Each section of the production was separated by the performers talking – mainly the incredible Barbie Q – and there’s something positive about seeing a drag show where the presenter is as excited to be on stage as the audience is to see the performance.
I attended the performance with a fellow drag enthusiast, and they were as enamoured with the performances as I was. With each performance, a side glance through masks occurred with both of us raising eyebrows and nodding our heads in excitement. The show received a raving review from both of us and caused us to agree that we are definitely excited to see what else Drag Diva can create next FRINGE WORLD.
The only negative thing I could say about the whole production was that it felt like it finished too soon and I wished there was a way to include more!
Drag Diva Spectacular blew my expectations wide open – and they were already pretty high – and I am happy to give this production five stars. Can’t wait to see what they do next.
