Award winning comedian Fabian Woods’ first solo show was full of quintessential Aussie comedy at its best. Always Woods Always Will Be features all the jokes your dad would tell if he was actually funny. An important and approachable work that sums up the culture of Western Australia with unbelievably hilarious accuracy. 

This laugh out loud funny show is packed with punny punchlines and witty wordplay delivered with expert timing. Fabian toes the line of crude, blue humour, pushing the limits without overdoing it. His observational comedy was a hit with the crowd, filling the intimate venue with laughter. 

With nothing more than a microphone and a stool, Fabian captured the audience and had us hanging on his every word, partially thanks to his expertly quick delivery that packed heaps of laughs into a 50-minute performance that flew by. A natural storyteller, he played off his admitted nerves with charm and quickly settled into his role. The show felt like a casual chat with your funniest friend, the kind that makes you do that thing where you aggressively blow air out of your nose for a while after hysterically laughing because it’s that funny. 

From COVID to FIFO, sharks to Djokovich no topical issue goes unexplored. A laugh out loud show peppered with nuanced physical comedy, grab your mates for a show that will leave you laughing long after you’ve left. Anyone who has spent any time in WA will get a kick out of this local gem.
