Beautiful, raw, honest and true. Great theatre.

Pyrates! is a self-indulgent, shallow musical where weak songs, flat characters, and a thin story are propped up by poor AI visuals rather than genuine spectacle. It was postulated to have so much potential, intrigue and depth and it fell short. More ego than craft and more noise than meaning, it’s a disappointing production that isn’t worth the ticket price.

I took my mum for her birthday and we were both absolutely gobsmacked by Jaydas wonderful performance and renditions of John Farnham songs. It was definitely healing the crowds inner children and I highly recommend this show to anyone raised on John Farnham/aussie rock

Loved the aerial acts but would have liked more silks and less duos. (Though the trapeze was awesome) Some of the lighting was too bright when sat facing the stage, making it hard to see the performers, so recommend sitting to side of stage. We were a bit confused by the concept. Description suggested it was about rebellion against the norm (great concept), but the individuality component felt a little lost at the end. But definitely thought provoking and unique.

The show is good but a bit self-indulgent. The final act is absolutely incredible!

Definitely not as advertised. Top two comedians were good but last one bombed. She even admitted herself. More material less freestyle please. 29.01.26
