I chose to see Blacksheep, partly because I am a proud blacksheep, but mainly because I’ve seen Dr Jae West in previous Fringe shows and found her performances compelling — and she did not disappoint. In this solo show, she combined poetry, dance, and storytelling to deliver a raw, funny, and deeply impactful performance. It’s a must-see if you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite fit in.

I don’t know what to expect, but I wasn’t expecting a wild ride of emotions triggered by amazing story telling, memorising poetry entwined with powerful dancing that brings everything together. I was talking about the show hours after I left and it connected with me deeply on a personal level. Thank you
