With Fire in her Heart: The Edith Cowan Story celebrates the remarkable life of Edith Cowan, the first woman elected to the Australian parliament. This year marks the centennial of Edith's achievements in Australian politics and this wonderful play brings to life her remarkable story. From her early life growing up near Geraldton, dealing with death and loss to a trail-blazing career as a social reformer, Edith worked tirelessly for the rights and welfare of woman and children. Director Gabrielle Metcalf, Writer Trevor Todd and Designer Tyler Hill work with a team of dynamic and diverse artists to realise this beautiful and uniquely Western Australian story.

With Fire in her Heart: The Edith Cowan Story has been in development for the past two years and it is a testament to the determination of the team that we are able to bring this uniquely Western Australian story to Perth audiences.
