About this event

This show features teams of high school students battling against each other as they guess whether scientists are lying.

Get ready for a battle of wits, humour and a lot of wild speculation!

During the show, everyone will hear talks from two awesome PERTH scientists who have mixed in a couple of lies in their hilarious talks.

The contestants will be given limited time to guess whether they've been told fact or fiction.

You can also play along from the comfort of your seats.

Future Science Talks runs Australia’s only Science Comedy Program and is currently producing the ‘Science Comedy Handbook ‘for the CSIRO.

We ran 45 science comedy shows - mostly for adults - throughout 2024 in major festivals across Australia.

Each show features LOCAL scientists who we partner with and train.

In 2025, we are running more shows, and also including shows for teens due to overwhelming demand. These will feature in major festivals including the World Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, Canberra Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Brisbane Comedy Festival, Darwin Fringe - and more!
