The Trick

When Adam hears about an arts festival happening on the other side of the country he relishes the opportunity to reconnect with an old mate. His friend was never the boring type, this trip could be exactly what he needs. Surely the rumours of his cohabitation with a sequestered illusionist are untrue? And where is his friends sister?

This is the World Premiere of a new Australian Play by Valentin Lang.
Starring Adam Sollis and Valentin Lang.

Presented by: Valentin Lang

Valentin Lang and Adam Sollis are two Sydney based actors who grew up in Fremantle, Western Australia. Adam Sollis graduated from WAAPA and Valentin studied at the Howard Fine Acting Studio in Melbourne. Adam has gone on to have success both on stage (Black Swan State Theatre Company, Redline Productions; Sydney) and screen (Cloud street). This is the second play written by Valentin Lang, the first 'Russell' played at the Old 505 in Sydney for the Fringe Festival and was critically praised by multiple reviewers: "Written like a series of one-liners in a standup routine, Valentin Lang succeeded in making Russell a very funny, deeply absurd tragi-comedy about the complications of life and the way that we recover from the hurts inflicted upon us by those we love." - Lisa Thatcher.
