About this event

The Wednesday night institution (est 1991) which helped develop comics such as Hughesy, Dave Callan, Rove, Claire Hooper, Mel Buttle, Joel Creasey and even Jim Jefferies, returns in 2019 in an all-new city location.

Weekly during the fest (and also year-round), share good times and great laughs with changing line-ups of today's and tomorrow's stars, including homegrown talent and visiting special guests.

From Aussie legends Fleety and Chris Franklin, to international stars such as Tim Minchin, many a comedy icon has graced Laugh Resort's stage and this year will be no exception. We're sure you'll agree it's among the best value in town.

"Great room, cool staff, inspiring comics." Greg Fleet

On Wednesday Feb 13, we bring you all lady laugh-makers in our Galentine's Day Gala.

Auslan Interpreters: Mike Levett & Christy Filipich

Presented by:
Laugh Resort Inc.

What started as a bunch of actors and open micers trying their hand at stand-up in the late 1980s became the cornerstone the Perth comedy scene would grow up around.

In 1991 The Laugh Resort became Australia’s only known Incorporated Association for stand-up comedians.

In its first 25 years Laugh Resort presented a weekly club show, programmed festival stages, main stage theatre and charity galas.

As a not-for-profit, the Association relies on the support of its membership and audiences.

In turn, The Laugh Resort provides advocacy, advice and other benefits to its member comedians, fostering the best in Perth comedy by providing development and performance opportunities for emerging and established artists and great value entertainment for audiences.
