About this event

By candlelight, award-winning vocalist Simone Craddock unites with harpist Michelle Smith to explore the most romantic love songs of the ages. Inspired by the oldest love poem in the world, discovered alongside a harp in the tombs of Mesopotamia, they unearth iconic love stories from ancient civilisations, Greek mythology, Shakespeare and faerytale origins.

Blending classical and contemporary influences with mid-century jazz, Simone and Michelle traverse the millennia with mesmerising storytelling and exquisitely arranged love songs. Let the soft glow of candlelight and the timeless harmony of voice and harp rekindle your faith in the enduring power of love!
