Sophie Joske is a writer/performer trained in theatre, experienced in improvisation and psychologically troubled in stand up comedy. Sophie has been promoting her chaotic bisexual agenda of joyful stupidity on festival stages since 2015. Since then she's had 3 sold out FRINGE WORLD seasons and multiple award nominations, including Almost Lesbians, co-written and performed with comic Anna Piper Scott and nominated for the Golden Gibbo at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Her one-woman show Cassandra Barbitoll was nominated for Best Theatre in Hobart in 2020. Other career highlights include making girls kiss on ABC2 in her short film Tartan, improvising with The Big HOO-HAA in Perth and Melbourne since 2012, and entertaining kids in hospital for 5 years.
