You Got Moxie, Kid: A Quirky Cabaret of Celebrity & Self-Discovery
Moxie Heart, the darling of Perth's drag scene, and (a portrait of) celebrity icon Jeff Goldblum take the stage with a story about a theatrekid who became a drag queen by harnessing courage, embracing their weirdness, and trusting that life, uh... finds a way. Through storytelling, live singing and lip sync, Moxie will roam through musical theatre bops, dreamy ballads, pop hits and the revival of some crowd favourite acts as she shares how creating a drag persona flooded her life with creativity, courage and LOTS of campery!
You Got Moxie, Kid was scheduled to debut in 2021 & earmarked in The West Australian's 'must-see' list, but fell victim to COVID lockdowns. Moxie is thrilled to revive this production & host its world premiere at FRINGE WORLD 2023!

Lash lioness and glorious mess, Moxie Heart captivates and charms with her colourful, campy style. A three-time Crown of the Court finalist and the Pop Royalty Runner up of 2021, Moxie is a proud female drag artist who delights in embracing the silly and creating the cheeky, quirky and unexpected.
Moxie's alter ego, Helen Kerr, is an established theatre performer in Perth. Some of her favourite roles include Roxie Hart in Chicago (Koorliny Arts Centre), Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (London Street Theatre Group) and Charity Valentine in Sweet Charity (Limelight Theatre). Helen trained with the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City and has been awarded a Robert Finley Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Play (Lost in Yonkers) and was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical for her performances as Charity and Roxie.
