Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge
Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge is a boy living next door to an old folks' home, with a special 96-year-old friend named Nancy. This heart-warming and funny picture book about friendship across generations is skilfully adapted for a children's audience of opera by celebrated young audience composer and librettist, Emma Jayakumar (Our Little Inventor, The Adventures of Snugglepot & Cuddlepie, The Lost Little Llama) for Music Book Stories and features the magnificent voices of Caitlin Cassidy (Mezzo-soprano), Brett Peart (Baritone), live musicians from Chimera Ensemble and the fiercely talented boy treble performers Dante Pendergrast and Narayan Jayakumar as Wilfrid. This is a beautiful story for all ages to enjoy, in the magnificent surroundings of the State Theatre Centre Lobby.
