Fringe2020
Thunderstruck
Written and performed by David Colvin, fresh from its award winning run at the
Edinburgh Fringe. An epic, one man roller coaster exploring how the
traditions of bagpipes were rocked by a bin man from Pitlochry and how he
changed the life of one young piper, forever.
Presented by: David Colvin
David performed all over the world (including at the Perth Festival) with the National Theatre of Scotland’s production Black Watch and has been involved in theatre most of his life, specifically with new writing projects for the National Theatre of Scotland, Communicado, Belgrade, Told by an Idiot and Talking Birds Theatre companies. This is his second play he’s written himself and partly concerns the only thing he’s been doing longer than acting, playing the bagpipes more specifically it’s a play about when the whole bagpiping world changed because of a bin man from Pitlochry.Suitability & warnings
