Lucia Mallardi, aka The SoccerActress, is an Italian multidisciplinary artist and former semi-pro soccer player. After competing in Italy’s top-tier women’s soccer league and Germany’s 2nd Bundesliga, she reinvented herself as a street performer, blending soccer freestyle and theatrical expression with just a soccer ball and a hat. Her travels across Europe, Asia, and South America shaped her unique artistic voice. In 2019 she created her one-woman drama-comedy show, The SoccerActress, combining sport, theatre, and storytelling. After touring in Rome, Naples, Milan, Berlin (with a German-language version), and Genoa (inside a prison theatre), she makes her English-language debut at the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and will perform at the United Solo Theatre Festival in New York this Octo
