The Quiet One: The Music Of George Harrison
“I play a little guitar, write a few tunes, make a few movies, but the real me is a gardener.” George Harrison: guitarist, singer, songwriter, charity concert and super-group instigator, film producer, and gardener; dedicating his autobiography to gardeners.
Beatles hits include ‘Taxman’ ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ ‘Here Comes The Sun’ and ‘Something’, hailed by Sinatra as the “greatest love song”. Competing with Lennon-McCartney for inclusion on Beatles albums, Harrison’s stockpile of songs formed the most successful album by a solo Beatle, All Things Must Pass.
Take a trip through his life as the 'quiet one' of The Beatles, solo artist and Traveling Wilbury. Hear tender ballads, uplifting pop and all-out rock, combined with wit and spirituality.
His head is filled with things to say.
