The Best Boy in Ireland

Michael Rice takes you on a hilarious, honest, and raunchy journey from a farm in rural Ireland to the big city lights of Chicago and back again. The story ranges from Michael's conservative catholic upbringing, and his relationship with his father to his discovery of life's more hedonistic delights in America. A Supreme storyteller Michael began stand up comedy in Chicago where within two years he worked regularly at the most prestigious clubs in the city, honing an Irish sense of humor and flare for performance into an American joke telling style.

"A delightfully hilarious mix of dark, and silly humor" ★★★★★ Laugh factory Chicago, 2017

Presented by: Michael Rice

Michael began stand up comedy in Chicago where within two years he worked regularly at the most prestigious clubs in the city including The Laugh Factory, Zanies and The Comedy Bar, where he worked as House MC. Michael returned to Ireland in the last year due to his love of the native soil, and because his mother made him. Michael has been quickly rising in the Irish, and European scene, playing regularly in major clubs in Dublin, Barcelona, Amsterdam, and London, and brought his first solo show “The Best Boy in Ireland” to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018, in what was a sold-out run.
