Speed: The Movie, The Play
Pop quiz, hotshot.
There’s a bomb on a bus. If the bus drops below 50 miles an hour, it blows up. What do you do? WHAT DO YOU DO?!
Climb onboard our vintage bus for this shameless homage to the 1994 action thriller ‘Speed’, the film which proved once and for all the best drama is on public transport.
Warning: contains Hollywood(ish) special effects and jokes about Keanu Reeves’ career.

Presented by: Act React
Act React is a Brisbane-based company specialising in pop culture-inspired theatre and comedy.
We are best known for our big “The Movie, The Play” site-specific comedy homages. So far we have paid our own special loving tribute to the Keanu Reeves action thriller Speed, the romantic tragedy Titanic, and everyone’s favourite Christmas movie Die Hard.
These shows are interactive in nature, but involve the audience in a positive and supported way. Our aim is to leave audiences exhilarated and laughing.
We have also created a number of boutique comedy works designed for both traditional and non-traditional theatre spaces, and have taken our shows to major fringe and comedy festivals around Australia.
