Mythic is a duet of original theatre works from Home-grown Theatre in collaboration with young people from the Cockburn Drama Program, drawing inspiration from Greek and Roman myths.
In 'Venus and Heracles', the warring Greek and Roman god families are given an ultimatum to stop fighting or else. But when two young lovers from opposite sides of the feud fall in love, can anything stop the war from reigniting?
In 'The Birdcage', Aria escapes her suffocating ex to work at a karaoke bar with a difference. Mortals and immortals alike mingle there, but when The Sirens sing, any mortal man present will throw themselves to a watery grave. Will anyone be able to break the curse and finally set The Sirens free?
Mythic explores the many facets of love and what it means to be truly human.
