This show belongs to the Fringe2021 season. This season is now over.

Macbeth, the Scotch Play

Following their sell-out runs at FRINGE WORLD 2018 and 19 - The brilliant minds at Booze & The Bard are back with another theatrical drinking game, just as Shakespeare would have wanted... we think.

Five actors perform a one-hour, improvised retelling of Shakespeare's Macbeth. At the start of each show, one professional actor will be chosen to down a collection of shots, leaving the other four to try and keep the story on track. Each night, our cast, alongside one sadistic spinning board, will bring you a new spin on the classic tale of everyone's least favourite Scottish couple.

Come along, grab a drink and a front row seat*, and watch our cast subject each other to a unique and most punishing drinking game.

*front row seats may be exposed to mild audience participation.

Presented by: Pre-Game Theatre

Founded by the creators of sell-out show A Midsummer Night's Drink and The Taming of the Brew, Pre-Game Theatre creates contemporary, comedic productions using interactive performance styles, and a dash of the hard stuff.

Featuring props, singing, and silly hats, the Booze & The Bard series presents five actors attempting one of Shakespeare’s classics in an hour… and one of them is drunk!
