James Hancox is an actor, writer and theatre-maker. He has created five one-man shows and performed them to sell-out crowds at Perth, Edinburgh and Adelaide fringe festivals. He won the FRINGE WORLD Weekly Comedy Award in 2021 (Action) and 2022 (Megamovie), the FRINGE WORLD Weekly Children's Event Award in 2022 and The Adelaide Fringe Tour Ready Award in 2023 (An Utterly Rubbish Adventure).
Starting his career on the London comedy circuit in 2009, his work has over time blended the worlds of comedy and theatre - using one-man sketch, physical theatre, improvisation, original music and immersive tomfoolery. He has played many iconic stages - from London Apollo to Glastonbury Festival - and has featured on several British TV and radio shows, most notably ‘8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown'.
