This is the story of a narcissist and an empath. The two should never meet. Open Lid Ensemble delve into a cold world of confusion and despair rendered from what seemed like the perfect beginning. Witness the unexpected fall and gruelling climb back to rediscovering one's self worth. Accompanied by a live soundscape, Further to Fall is a physical theatre performance exploring the turmoil of falling in love with a narcissist.

Collaborative emerging theatre company The Open Lid Ensemble create highly energetic, original theatre performances that break the barrier between artist and audience and open the lid on topics seldom talked about. Their style features the physical drawing upon a plethora of influences and inspirations from Lecoq, Ann Bogart and Frantic Assembly, to Butoh dance theatre. Through creative storytelling their work celebrates the value of the everyday and the beauty of the ugly and grotesque. The company formed in 2015 and premiered their debut show ‘Halina’ to sold out audiences at FRINGE WORLD 2016. This was followed by ‘Risscht! The Little Match Girl’ at Fremantle Festival in 2016 and FRINGE WORLD 2017. Later that year, 'Hypatia' received outstanding praise from Blue Room Theatre audiences.
