In 1993, Cherry Vinyl ditched the red dust of Coober Pedy for the neon chaos of Surfers Paradise. From a shy gold-panty metre maid to the glittering star of 'Legs, Legs, Legs, Lips, Lips, Lips!'

Her rise was legendary—until a mystery man in a velour tracksuit with a lit Winfield Red came to sweep her off her feet.
