After finding his shopfront vandalised, struggling bottle-shop owner Jack and his mysterious new hire have to find the culprit before they lose the store for good…

Bottle Boys is a brand new work by emerging playwright, Hugh McGuire. Witness the world-premiere of this dark comedy that follows a young man’s spiral into a relentless - and often absurd - charge for justice!

Brought to life by an ensemble of local talent, Bottle Boys enters a ridiculous world where what’s sinister is sane and right and wrong are subjective - who committed this heinous crime, and what do they want with Jack?

Hugh McGuire is a Perth/Boorloo-based emerging playwright and actor. Passionate about creative and action-packed storytelling, Hugh has undergone numerous film and theatrical projects in both creative and starring roles. Having completed a Diploma in Musical Theatre in 2022, Hugh is currently undergoing a Bachelor of Acting at WAAPA. Recent credits include writing, directing, and starring in his original short film Highest Treason (2024), and starring in the recent GRADS production of Antigone. Hugh is looking forward to premiering his debut theatrical work Bottle Boys at FRINGE WORLD 2026.
