21 January – 15 February

Three lionesses are shown side by side against a blue backdrop, each wearing a blue-and-white gingham school uniform. Their expressions vary: one snarls with bared teeth, the next roars with its mouth wide open, and the third squints with its tongue sticking out in a playful, cheeky pose.

Bite Back

How different is a feral lion to a private school girl?

Following the 6-period timetable structure of one school day, BITE BACK explores the animalistic side of teenage girls trapped in the constrictive petri dish of high school. Values of civilised society are left behind at the school gates - at Ignatius Heart of Our Lady of Perpetual Sainthood, if you’re not a predator, you’re prey.

The School Captain campaign launches a ruthless fight for territory, a rumour escalates from a spark of truth to an uncontrollable wildfire, and a highly physical game of dodgeball becomes a cathartic release of rage where it’s every girl for herself.

Is it possible to restore balance by 3:30pm?
