This show belongs to the FRINGE WORLD Festival 2026 season. This season is now over.

A choir in blue robes with pale gold stoles performs onstage in a dimly lit venue with red curtains. A band plays to the left, and a large disco ball hangs overhead, scattering light across the room. The audience is seated in the foreground, watching the group as they sing.

Awesome Gospel

Providence Gospel Choir returns with an almighty battle cry! This year’s setlist combines iconic classics and soulful renditions that tackle life’s trials and triumphs. Included is Aretha Franklin’s version of a Simon & Garfunkel song as well as thee famously energetic "Shackles" from Mary Mary, creating a musically uplifting journey.

"packs an emotional punch' 'respectfully creates a space...to engage with these songs" Pelican, 2022

“This is a multi-faith, any age group kind of show. Good for families, friends, or groups… I left feeling all round fulfilled and inspired to thread the pavement again today.” ★★★★★ Fringefeed, 2025
