ALIYA KANANI is a comedian, actor and writer based in Canada, known for her playful and mischievous personality. Her solo show, "Where You From, From?", sold out at the Just for Laughs Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Toronto Fringe Festival, Edinburgh Fringe and FRINGE WORLD.
She was recently nominated for a Canadian academy award for Best Leading Actress for her role in the Best Motion Picture film, Scarborough.
Aliya has performed around the world including at the Gotham Comedy Club NYC with Standup NBC and The Comedy Store in Sydney. You can catch a few of her jokes on the CBC LOL and SiriusXM.
Though Aliya has toured internationally, performing in English and French, she still brags that her greatest achievement was the time she made a man throw up from laughing.
