Enter Magnus 'D' Magnus, your MC for the night...The 'D' Unapologetically stands for "Danger", and as the show progresses, you will see why!
He introduces Sam Hume and Justin Williams - your magicians for the night. It's genuine and authentic, as during the show, you learn the background to how they met, became friends, and how their magic shows were imagined and brought to life. But it's not just magic...it's raunchy, loud and at times outrageous.
Sam is somewhat more grounded and predictable. Justin is spontaneous and unpredictable. Together, they just work. You can tell they have a great friendship and respect for each other's magic ability. They complement each other beautifully.
The spice, raunchiness and skin add a whole new level to the magic. Magnus 'D' Magnus winds up the punters to make "a crowd into an audience", and sets the stage for the wild ride that unfolds.
No magic show is complete without audience participation, some volunteered, some commandeered - and you never know what you're going to get. This point is not lost on the pair, who were grateful for the crowd participants on the night. This led to our volunteer having an imaginary date with Pauline Hanson at a Fish and Chip shop for an orgy in which the preferred position was the Slippery Fish!
It's a brilliant show! High energy, loud, raucous and entertaining. Great magic with a generous dollop of raunch, innuendo and cheeky sexiness.
I rate it as the best show I have seen this Fringe season.
