Fabulous, dazzling Frisky and her four-piece band put on a musical performance ranging from rap to EDM to opera. Find another performer with that much range, I dare you!
Based on audience suggestions, Frisky transforms hit after hit into a new genre. Think Madonna’s Like a Virgin as EDM, or the Sex Pistols’ God Save the Queen as Jazz. With Frisky’s endless talent and enthusiasm, the only limit is the audience’s imagination. The quirkier and more outlandish the suggestion, the more entertaining the result.
Given the improvised nature of the performance, you would be forgiven for expecting some mistakes. Yet Frisky and her band are faultless. Not only does she have a beautiful voice, but her energy is unmatched. Seconds after a committed opera rendition of AC/DC’s Highway to Hell, Frisky is inviting the next suggestion. Her enthusiasm and joy make for an alluring watch.
Towards its end, the show takes a heartfelt turn. Frisky shares the self-doubt and perfectionism that prevented her from performing Reshuffle for a decade. In her vulnerability, she encourages the audience to consider what big step they’re holding themselves back from achieving and to make the leap. The grand finale sees a genre mashup coupled with an inspirational message.
Frisky is a star, and Reshuffle is a must-see; catch it before it closes.
