Have you ever been in a therapy session and wondered to yourself, “What the heck is that psychologist writing about me?”
Well, I can’t help you with that. Sorry.
But, if you’ve ever wanted to be a fly on the wall at someone else’s psychology session, to make sure it’s not just you. I can certainly prescribe Shrink Wrapped: A Psychologist Analyses Comedians Live on Stage, which is making its Western Australian debut at FRINGE WORLD 2026.
As its title might suggest, this show, the brainchild of US comedian Robin Perkins, sees three very brave comics (including Robyn herself) perform a set each, before going toe to toe with real-life Psychologist and Behavioural Specialist Katie Baylis, who is on the lookout for the hidden meaning behind their act. And, the fun doesn’t stop there. Each show ends with a group therapy session for a bit of trauma bonding.
Tonight‘s patients were comedians Elaine Fellows, who told us about her fancy new gym, and Ollie Horn, who shared tales of his family dynamics. But the lineup changes nightly, so no two shows are ever the same.
An incredibly unique concept, this show is thought-provoking, fear-inducing, and extremely funny.
