If you’re walking past The Rechabite around 9.30 pm and see a crowd of smiling, sweaty people, then there’s a good chance you’re looking at the audience leaving History of House - Greatest Hits.

The show is an electrifying celebration of a genre that changed dance floors forever. From the first beat drop and incredible vocals of the Soweto Gospel Choir, you are pulled into the joyful spirit of house music, equal parts history lesson and full-throttle party.

What makes this performance so engaging is how it balances musical storytelling with pure energy. You’re not just hearing iconic tracks; you’re taken on a journey through the evolution of house, from its underground roots to its global takeover. The pacing keeps the momentum high, with seamless transitions that feel like being inside a perfectly crafted DJ set.

The atmosphere is truly infectious, caught up in the shared nostalgia and excitement, whether you’re a longtime house lover or someone discovering the sound for the first time. It is impossible not to dance.

History of House - Greatest Hits is more than a concert; it’s a tribute to the culture, community, and freedom that house music represents.

This is a show that must not be missed - I dare you not to love it.
