With a name like KABOOM!, you know that this show will be a wild ride - and for this viewer, it certainly did not disappoint. Led by the maddest of mad scientists, Magnus Danger Magnus, it captured the hearts and minds of both child and adult attendees.
There was something for everyone in this fast-paced and action-packed sixty-minute show. From air cannons to fire and gigantic foam towers, it kept the audience on the edge of their seats. It was also surprisingly comedic, with children giggling with laughter and a sprinkling of humour for the adults, too.
Magnus did a particularly good job of not only presenting an entertaining show but also making sure it was a safe and educational environment. I was particularly impressed by the emphasis he placed on safety for the children in a light-hearted way, and I am sure these young scientists will remember their safety goggles and gloves for all future experiments.
It was a lovely experience to be a part of a very inclusive show. Magnus created an environment where both adults and children - neurotypical and neurodivergent - felt like they were a valued part of the scientific community.
I would strongly encourage any young mad scientists to catch KABOOM!
