I asked my 9-year-old what three words she would use to describe this show - interactive, science and funny were what she said, and she really wasn’t wrong! What a cracker of a kids' show - entertaining from start to finish for kids and adults alike.
Marine Biologist turned-comedian Robyn Perkins, joined by musician-comedian Elaine Fellows, took us all on a journey for 60 minutes to find the world’s coolest animal!
The interactive quest involved the audience coming up with a hypothesis and testing ideas, while Robyn and Elaine talked us through some scientific evidence and graphs using a PowerPoint presentation.
Robyn cleverly compared superhero powers with awesome qualities from animals, such as the Flash’s speed with a peregrine falcon, Thor’s strength with a rhinoceros beetle, and the Invisible Woman with a glass-winged butterfly.
Throughout all of the science-y fun, there were hilarious gags, customised sing-a-long tunes about animals and their poop, games such as ‘Butt or Face’ and a chance to boogie at the end when we completed our quest by identifying the ‘Coolest animal in the world’.
My advice is grab a ticket pronto because what an absolute treat this was!
