I love sin. Specifically, The Original Sin. Wait—no, let me be precise: I love the cast of Sinsuality performing The Original Sin. This year, they ditched their usual formula of exploring the seven deadly sins and instead leaned into a single, all-encompassing theme of sin. Was it different from what I anticipated? Yes. Did Barbie Q already have my money? Also yes. Was I still thoroughly entertained? Absolutely. Did they put on a show? Oh, yes.

Every year, I watch this production and think, what a stunning cast. Each performer is a standout in their own discipline, all phenomenal in their own right. This year, though, Sugar du Joure quite frankly stole the show. Her performance was a personal favourite, alongside Barbie’s moment of the year—Heated Rivalry, anyone?

Sinsuality: The Original Sin is the epitome of the heart of Fringe: showcasing a diverse range of artists in a show that’s as daring as it is dazzling—and, most importantly, fun. Fringe season may be drawing to a close, as is this year’s run of Sinsuality, but these incredible performers still have a few shows left. I wholeheartedly implore you: go watch them.
